Mano Paul CISSP, CSSLP

Mano Paul is a shark biologist turned information security author and technology professional. He is an innovative, driven “out-of-the-box” thinking industry leader and technology professional with 23+ years of experience in information technology and cybersecurity. Working with ISC2, he led the development and creation of the Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) certification and authored the “Official ISC2 Guide to the CSSLP.” He is also the author of the “7 Qualities of Highly Secure Software” and serves as an advisor in the Editorial Review Board for cyber certifications in the industry. He was recognized and honored for his contributions to the security industry by being awarded the Information Security Leadership Awards (ISLA) in 2011.

Most recently, Mano served as the Chief Technology Officer for Driven Brands where he had executive management and fiscal responsibilities for the Information Technology office. He managed teams and the technology budget and was responsible for Technology Strategy and Innovation, Infrastructure & Cloud, Enterprise Architecture & Applications, IT Merger & Acquisitions (M&A), IT Service desk and Operations. Before that, Mano worked for General Motors as Chief Information Security Strategist and Technical Fellow, where he was responsible for overseeing security strategy, programs, and projects to protect information and digital assets, manage Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), application and DevOps security, data protection and privacy, and security innovation. Before joining GM, Mano founded and served as CEO of a security small business consulting and training company, dba SecuRisk Solutions, for nearly a decade. Mano started his IT career at Dell, Inc. where he played several roles from software developer, technical architect, global security program manager, and IT strategist.

Mano is currently pursuing the Executive MBA at the University of Texas, McCombs school of Business and will
graduate in 2024. In 2020, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA from the Dallas Theological Seminary
with a Master of Biblical and Theological Studies (MBTS). He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) from the University of Oklahoma, USA, and a Bachelor of
Science (B.S) degree in Zoology from the University of Chennai, India. Mano is an invited speaker, delivering keynotes, talks, training and participating as a panelist, in several domestic and international conferences. Mano holds several professional technology and security certifications – CSSLP, CISSP, GWAPT, GSSP-.Net, EC-Council ECSA, MCSD, MCAD and the CompTIA Network+ certification.
