Chuan-Wei is a cybersecurity practitioner and has been in the IT industry since 1992 with more than 25 years of experience in information security.
He provides thought leadership, formulates and implements strategic technology development, manages professional services and cybersecurity operations.
He was also honored as:
• 2014 ISC2 Asia-Pacific President's Award Honoree,
• 2013 ISC2 Senior Information Security Leadership Achievement (ISLA) Honoree,
• 2012 ISC2 Information Security Leadership Achievement (ISLA) Honoree and
• 2010 IDG Chief Security Officer (CSO) ASEAN Award winner.
His career includes various IT management roles in the financial and telecommunication sector regionally. He is also an authorised instructor with ISC2, lectured at Nanyang Technological University (NTU, 2015-2019), Institute of Systems Science-National University of Singapore (ISS-NUS, 2010-to-date) and Temasek Polytechnic (2009-2015).
He received his IT degree from University of Southern Queensland and carries the following professional industry certifications: CISSP, CISA, CFE and BCCE.
