Catherine Chapman is an independent journalist and media theorist who specialises in tech, information security, and digital culture. She has a background in investigatory research, which has led her to produce work on the relationship between intelligence agencies and the media, high and low tech warfare, and mental health online. Catherine is a founding board member for the Manchester-based skills and diversity group, The InfoSec Hoppers, and her work can be found in multiple international publications including The New York Times, Vice, NBC, The Daily Mail, The Daily Swig, and The Lancet Psychiatry.
