(ISC)2 Security Congress 2022

SC22ET2 - Education Theater Presentation Achieving Cyber Resilience at Scale with ASOC - Sponsored by Synopsys

Oct 10, 2022 3:35pm ‐ Oct 10, 2022 3:55pm

Description

Modern software development introduces new challenges for risk mitigation. When considering all the components that make up software today—custom-built, proprietary, open-source, and commercial code--there are many sources for weaknesses to make it to production-level applications. While many organizations have adopted multiple security testing tools to identify weaknesses early in the SDLC, this produces a barrage of siloed security data. As a result, development teams responsible for remediation often struggle to identify and address critical findings in a timely manner. Due to the vast amount of security data and software components to examine, it is difficult for organizations to gain a holistic view of their most vulnerable applications and then, prioritize impactful security activities. In this session, we will examine how an Application Security Orchestration and Correlation (ASOC) solution can prepare your organization to address risk blind spots and build cyber resilience at the software level.

Learning Objectives:
  • Understand the concept of ASOC, and how it can help you maximize productivity of your application security program
  • Know how to leverage ASOC for reducing developer workloads, achieving tool effectiveness, and gaining a global perspective of software compliance posture
  • Examine a use case of how an organization leveraged ASOC to centralize software risk visibility and maximize developer productivity

Speaker(s):

  • Natasha Gupta, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Integrated Application Security, Synopsys
