Description

Data security has been on the list of IT security priorities for the last several decades, yet it remains an elusive accomplishment. At the same time, data as a product, competitive advantage or valued asset are ever more common themes in business conversations. Data-defined infrastructure means data now defines the virtual environments used to secure other data. How is it that securing data, monetizing data, data privacy, and data-driven enterprises all circle back on themselves? In this presentation, we will examine the forces shaping the data challenges of today and tomorrow, and how IT security professionals can help guide the outcome. From data governance to data security, we will identify and discuss the key aspects of a comprehensive data strategy.
