William Poole is Co-Founder and CEO of Strand Intelligence, a company he founded to bring AI-driven automation to cyber incident response. With over a decade of hands-on DFIR experience, William has investigated hundreds of cyber incidents spanning ransomware, business email compromise, and data breaches across sectors including finance, healthcare, legal and manufacturing.
Prior to founding Strand, William served as Technical Director for a UK DFIR firm and spent five and a half years at the Information Commissioner's Office as a Principal Cyber Investigations Officer, leading technical investigations into some of the UK's most significant data security incidents. He brings a rare combination of regulatory, investigative and commercial IR experience, including direct engagement with threat actors during live incidents, that forms the foundation of this session.
