Vivek Chudgar is Head of Mandiant Consulting in JAPAC - Google Cloud, responsible for managing client relationships, sales and delivery of Mandiant services in the JAPAC region. Vivek focuses on the Incident Response (IR) and Strategic Assessment services. Vivek has close to 20 years’ experience as a trusted advisor to CISOs of blue chip enterprises in Asia Pacific and the US. At Mandiant, Vivek leads a crack team of IR consultants responding to complex security incidents for large enterprises involving tens of thousands of computers. This Enterprise IR experience provides Vivek invaluable insight into today’s advanced threat actors and a deeper understanding of how they operate. Vivek uses this insight to help CISOs optimize their SOC investments and transform them into Advanced Cyber Defense Centers capable of detecting and responding to today’s advanced persistent threats. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Before joining FireEye/Mandiant, Vivek was the Global Head of the Information Security Compliance Practice at TCS, one of the top 10 IT consulting and services firms in the world. While at TCS, Vivek advised the C-level leadership of several multinational enterprises on information security and risk management strategies, and led a global team of consultants delivering professional services related to various Information Risk Management functions. Previously, Vivek worked as a Principal Consultant at McAfee on the Foundstone Professional Services team where he led the Risk and Compliance service lines. He successfully delivered a wide range of related services including large IR engagements to McAfee’s U.S. clients. EDUCATION Vivek earned an MBA in General Management from IIM Ahmedabad and an MS degree from Carnegie Mellon University, specializing in Information Security. Vivek’s research interests span the areas of information risk measurement and management. His research at Carnegie Mellon University's CYLAB also focused on investigating the malicious behavior of relay nodes participating within wireless ad- hoc networks.
