Simon Salmon has worked in cybersecurity for over 20 years, heading up security across both government and commercial sectors. Simon is responsible for leading one of the very first successful global implementations of the BS7799 security framework (now ISO27001), and works as Head of IT Security for one of England's biggest cities. With a diverse academic background spanning business and accountancy, plus a distinction award in his Master degree in Computing, he also holds over 20 certifications relating to IT and cybersecurity covering governance, risk, compliance and technical specialisms. Simon is a certified lead auditor, forensic specialist and malware inspector. He has worked as a director, head of IT and operational technology lead for various companies, leading services of 150+ people. He has been a trainer with ISC2 since 2015 and has helped to deliver and develop content for ISC2 during that time. Simon also currently serves as a director of an ISP, and a trustee of an academy.
