Dr. Saritha Arunkumar FCIIS, FBCS, Master Inventor

Saritha is a Thought Leader with over 23 years of experience in Cyber Security space, leading and shaping up security in upcoming and emerging areas like Biometrics, IoT security, Blockchain and Cloud. Building upon her deep technical expertise in security design, solutions, architecture, risk, compliance and governance, she became an expert and trusted client advisor across industries and account teams in emerging solutions for IAM, IoT Security, Biometrics, BlockChain and Cloud Security.

Working on Security Strategy, Risk and Compliance areas, Saritha led a number of Risk Quantification engagements for large European Clients and helped them assess their top assets ,risks and using the FAIR methodology quantify the risk associated.

Saritha has led large Cloud based Blockchain deployment projects across worldwide clients as the Lead Security Architect and was recognized as the trusted advisor and go-to person in this.

As of November 2022, Saritha is the IBM Public Cloud Worldwide Technical Leader for Security providing thought leadership to clients and technical teams on Cloud Security architecture, decisions and best practices.

Prior to this, Saritha was the EMEA Lead for IBM Security X-Force CyberRange working as the trusted advisor for senior leaders, C-level executives and Board of directors helping them decide their security strategy, preparing them for cyberattacks with security best practices and identify gaps in their existing security solutions helping them create better security capabilities This also includes taking the C-suite leaders through the Cyber Challenge experience, sharing Cloud best practices, increasing their cyber awareness, helping them through better preparedness for CyberCrisis. This further leads to helping with architecting and designing solutions for Clients based on their requirements.

She is a Master Inventor, fostering and nurturing new inventors by guiding and mentoring them through various programs across UKI, thus leading to the overall of growth patents for IBM. During her career she has been encouraging and promoting diversity in the technical field, and was runner up for Future of the Women in Digital and Tech Category and winning TechWomen50 award.

Saritha also is very passionate about innovation and runs various innovation workshops and patent jams taking the IBM community and also helping university students and Secondary schools see the importance of ideation and patenting. She is a Fellow of BCS, Fellow and Board of Director for CiiSec and runs women in Cyber initiatives within CiiSec to help more women take up Security as their career.
