Patrick Thompson CISSP-ISSMP, CCSP

Patrick Thompson presently serves as a CAPTAIN in the U. S. Coast Guard in Washington DC overseeing all Cyber/IT Infrastructure across the service. He is a Massachusetts native and graduated with high honors from the Coast Guard Academy with a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1998. He received a M.S. degree in Electrical Eng. from University of Massachusetts & a M.S. in Eng. Mgt. from Northeastern University. He holds (ISC)2 Certifications of CISSP, ISSMP & CCSP. Throughout his professional career, he has been a very active community volunteer including AFCEA Lexington Concord Board, President of the Mass. Society of Professional Engineers Boston Chapter, co-founded a BSides conference and (ISC)2 President at both local chapter past international chapter committee level. Patrick's Awards include AFCEA's 2012 Copernicus Award & 2010 IT Leadership Awards, the 9-11 Medal, four CG Meritorious Service Medals.
