Dr. Opal El DSc, CISSP, PMP

Dr. Opal El is a U.S. Army veteran and serves as an Information Systems Security Engineer Consultant to the U.S. Department of Defense. Her previous security roles supported the Department of Information Services Agency, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, U.S. Marine Corps, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigations and Joint Service Provider. Dr. El is passionate about consumer data privacy rights and cyber ethics. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from George Mason University and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Doctor of Science in Cybersecurity from Capitol Technology University. Her published research includes “Consumer Perceptions toward Personal Data as an Economic Asset.”
