Mihai Roman

Mihai Roman is the Head of Security Engineering within the CISO organization at ING Bank, where he oversees the teams responsible for building and maintaining the security engineering capabilities that protect the bank’s digital ecosystem. His work ensures that ING’s customers, systems, and services remain safe and resilient in an ever‑evolving threat landscape. Before moving into this leadership role, Mihai spent more than eight years as a development engineer, followed by several years in engineering leadership. Despite his managerial responsibilities, he continues to enjoy hands‑on technical work and regularly contributes to engineering initiatives within his teams.
