With over 25 years of experience in law enforcement and 17 years dedicated to IT security, Leroy Ranel, Jr. has played a key role in shaping and assessing the maturity of Security Operation Centers for more than 15 Fortune 100 companies worldwide. Leroy has 10 years specializing in incident response, four years in threat analysis, a decade of management expertise, and more than 20 years of demonstrated leadership. Holding a variety of industry-standard certifications and currently maintaining CISSP, Leroy founded, developed and advanced Southern Company's first Vendor Incident Response and Digital Fraud team, demonstrating his capability to continuously modify cyber defenses responding to new threat landscape attacks. In addition to his professional contributions, he actively volunteers on multiple industry-recognized boards and events, further exemplifying his commitment to advancing the field of cybersecurity.
