Lennart Lopin grew up in Vienna after his family escaped East Germany in 1984, developing an early passion for technology through parents in electrical engineering and radio operations. He earned his Master's in Computational Linguistics from German universities, specializing in AI - his thesis led to "Prelude," a championship-winning chatbot in 2005. An early Bitcoin adopter and cryptocurrency pioneer, Lennart serves as CTO and CISO of Byte Federal, where he oversees technology and information security across one of the largest Bitcoin ATM networks in North America. His current work focuses on deploying autonomous AI for real-time cybersecurity operations in regulated financial services - the subject of his ISC2 Security Congress presentation.
