Devon Bryan CISSP

Devon Bryan is an award-winning Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with almost 30 years of experience leading global teams and supporting complex business in various industries, mitigating technology risks while enabling top-line business revenue growth. Devon's career reflects a demonstrated track record of successfully delivering large-scale ($400M+) global cybersecurity management programs that balance cost-effective pragmatic risk-based strategies with complex businesses priorities.

A military veteran of the US Air Force, Devon currently serves as the Global CISO for the S&P 500 Carnival Corporation & plc where he is charged with developing and implementing the global information security strategy that's aligned with Carnival's key business priorities. As a strategic partner of Carnival's global technology-dependent business operations, Devon collaborates with senior business executives across the company in the support of growing top-line revenue and driving bottom-line efficiencies all while stimulating innovation, assuring compliance, protecting personal data and corporate assets, increasing organizational capability and advancing productivity within Carnival Corporation & plc and its nine world-leading cruise line brands.

Prior to joining Carnival in November 2021, Devon was Managing Director, CISO at MUFG Union Bank (Americas), where he was responsible for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive information security strategy and program to ensure that information assets and technologies were appropriately protected. A five-time CISO leading large complex board reportable technology risk management programs, Devon also served as the CISO for KPMG North Americas, the US Federal Reserve System (Fed) and global outsourced payroll provider ADP Inc, and he was the Deputy CISO for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Some of Devon's awards and achievements include his 2023 induction into the Chief Security Officer (CSO) Hall of Fame, CISO's Connect Top 100 CISOs (2022 and 2021), Women in Technology Male Ally of the Year (2021), and Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF) Mentor of the Year (2021).

Devon's career started in the US Air Force where he served for 11 years before becoming a honorably discharged US veteran. Devon currently serves as a Board member for the non-profit he co-founded in 2014, Cyversity, to help diversify the cybersecurity workforce through programs geared toward attracting more women and minority cybersecurity professionals. Each year his volunteer-led non-profit awards several thousand dollars in scholarships, and provides mentorship and support for job placements and the promotion of cyber practitioners from underserved communities while changing lives.

Devon is a member of the Industry Advisory Faculty for Bowie State, Maryland's oldest Historically Black College; the Advancing Tech Careers Collaborative of NPower Cyber Cohort; and NYU's Tandon School of Engineering Industry Advisory Faculty. He received a Bachelor of Science, Applied Mathematic,s from South Dakota Technological University and a Master of Science, Computer Science from Colorado Technological University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He holds multiple cybersecurity certifications and has received several industry awards.
