David Patariu, Esq., ISC2 CISSP and CCSP, is a Privacy Law Specialist (PLS) attorney, IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) and technologist (MEng, Cornell, Computer Science and MS, Stanford Medical School, Biomedical Informatics). He is the legal representative for the Mitigating Unauthorized Scraping Alliance (MUSA) and is an attorney in the Technology and Innovation Group at the law firm Venable LLP. His law practice focuses on helping technology companies navigate the changing privacy, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity regulatory landscape. David has also worked in-house at Yahoo, Instacart and Verizon Media -- on projects related to cybersecurity, governance, ad tech, search, AI and international compliance matters. His knowledge spans a range of security issues, including data breaches, information privacy, cyberattacks, network architecture, incident response and risk management.
