David Patariu is a Privacy Law Specialist (PLS) attorney and IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) focused on AI, cybersecurity, and privacy governance. He leads privacy and AI initiatives for Lenovo and Motorola’s mobile, IoT, and wearable ecosystems, operationalizing AI risk management and compliance at scale. David brings in-house experience from Yahoo, Verizon Media, Instacart, and Meta, with expertise spanning ad tech, search, AI, and global compliance programs. He is also co-founder of The CISO Law Firm, advising executives on AI risk, privacy, security, and governance. A frequent international speaker (RSAC, Black Hat, ISC2), he holds advanced degrees in computer science and informatics from Cornell and Stanford, and certifications including IAPP CIPM, CIPP/US/E, AIGP, and ISC2 CISSP, CCSP.
