Carlos Lobato is Chief Information Security Officer at New Mexico State University, where he served as Chief Privacy Officer and IT Compliance Officer previously. He is responsible for establishing and implementing a risk-based information security program and ensuring IT systems, data and related activities comply with regulatory requirements. Carlos has extensive private sector, banking, local government and higher education technical, administrative and auditing experience and holds auditing and technical IT certifications. He has written technical articles published by EDUCAUSE and the Association of College and University Auditors.
