Badal Bhushan is a Distinguished Engineer and cybersecurity leader with more than 23 years of experience specializing in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Zero Trust, authentication, authorization and non-human identity security. His work focuses on securing modern cloud and AI ecosystems, including passwordless authentication, workload identity, delegated authorization, OAuth-based security, and identity architectures for autonomous and agentic AI systems.
He has led large-scale identity modernization and Zero Trust initiatives across complex global environments and has established IAM Centers of Excellence to advance enterprise identity architecture and governance. Badal is also an active researcher, author, peer reviewer, technical judge and conference speaker whose published work explores authentication, authorization, delegation and identity security for AI agents and machine workloads. His current research focuses on developing practical identity and authorization models that bridge emerging security standards with real-world, large-scale implementations.
